Social Responsibility
Satisfied, healthy and committed employees are also a basis for sustainable success and for a working culture that is characterized by respect, trust and development. That is why we are actively committed to the well-being of our teams – through:
• fair working conditions and transparent communication
• flexible working time models and home office options
• health promotion offerings
• individual training and personal development
Sustainability
When selecting our suppliers, we pay attention to short distances and a clear source. The majority come from European countries. Furthermore, our requirements for supplier selection and evaluation are based on the German Supply Chain Sustainability Act (LkSG). This ensures that companies in Germany meet their human rights and environmental responsibilities in global supply chains.
In 2020, we moved into one of the most sustainable buildings in Germany. The “Curve” was awarded with the BREEAM Excellence Award – in recognition of exemplary energy efficiency and environmentally conscious construction. *
*BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world's oldest and most widely used assessment system for sustainable buildings.
• Environment (e.g. energy consumption, emissions, waste management)
• Labor and human rights (e.g. occupational safety, equal treatment)
• Ethics (e.g. corruption prevention, data protection)
• Sustainable procurement
Further facts & figures:
• 40% of our waste is recycled
• 90% of our packaging is recyclable
Digitalisation
Accessibility is a key component of our digital responsibility. Our website has been developed entirely in accordance with the requirements of the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG). This ensures that all people – regardless of physical or cognitive limitations – can use our digital content without restriction.
We also focus on transparency and responsibility along our supply chain. As a member of the Sedex platform (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), we use digital tools to visualize and continuously improve compliance with ethical, social and environmental standards.
