Alginate is a naturally occurring, bioactive hydrocolloid obtained from brown seaweed. Mixed with water, it creates an elastic gel that accurately adapts to any surface conditions. As a natural resource, alginate is completely harmless to health and has therefore been used in wound care for many years.
Our alginate skin protection contains 15% natural alginate. It can absorb up to 20 times of its own weight in liquid and is therefore ideal to enhance wound healing.
